Meet the team behind Calder Compliance & Consulting

Chris

Chris graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2000, taking up a role with KPMG training and completing his professional tax qualification. Prior to setting up the firm in 2010, Chris had further experience with an independent Scottish accounting firm and an investment bank. The firm has grown steadily with Chris overseeing operations maintaining strong general practice services along with his owner focussed tax specialism.

Anne-Marie

Anne Marie is the payroll manager and joined the team in 2016. She manages over 150 clients along with a number of clients who outsource their weekly payroll to our firm. She covers all aspects of payroll including pensions. Anne Marie’s background was working within a security firm running a smaller payroll in a private company prior to moving into general practice.

Bilal

Bilal is a qualified Accountant and a member of ACCA. He has been working with the firm for more than 3 years. His responsibilities within the firm are to deal with client’s enquiries, prepare VAT returns and Annual Accounts, Cash Flow Statements, Business Plans and submitting client’s documents. Bilal is proficient in English, Urdu & Punjabi. Previously, Bilal worked at PWC in Lahore in Pakistan.

Lauren

Lauren has been with the firm since leaving university in 2014. She completed her ACCA professional qualification in 2018 and has developed both excellent general practice abilities as well as strong private client skills. Lauren became a director and shareholder of the firm in 2019 and is currently focussed on managing our compliance team, business development and advisory services.

Abbie

Abbie is currently a university student with an ordinary degree in Accounting and is a recognized ACCA accelerate and CIMA student. She has been working with the firm for nearly 2 years. Her main role is in administration which includes client VAT and PAYE registrations, setting up companies for clients and changing company details but she has been able to work in different areas such as assisting to complete VAT Returns and some aspects of Payroll to gain relevant accounting experience.
